一、otherwise 用作連詞，意思為“否則;要不然”，相當于 or，or else 或 if not .

抓住機會，要不然你會后悔的。

I was ill that day，otherwise I would have taken part in the sports meet.

二、otherwise 用作副詞，具有下列意義：
